Jenna DeAngelis Memorial

Jennifer C. DeAngelis, affectionately known as Jenna to her family and friends, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly as the result of an automobile accident in Milford, NH on August 23, 2020, at the age of 18 years. Jenna was born in Nashua on June 25, 2002. She grew up in Milford, New Hampshire, and graduated with Milford High School’s class of 2020. Those close to Jenna have described her as a spontaneous, loving, goofy, and stunning young lady who always held her head up high with a smile on her face and a laugh that would infect a whole building.  An incredible athlete, some of Jenna’s happiest moments were spent as part of the varsity field hockey team, as the starting pitcher for varsity softball, and as a member of the New England Diamond Gems fastpitch softball organization. Jenna will be remembered not only for her affection for sunflowers but her unconditional love and devotion to her family and friends.

The Diamond Gems Board of Directors, along with Jenna's family, friends, coaches and teammates have suffered a tremendous loss, but have committed to honoring her life, remembrance in passing, and securing her legacy with future generations of Diamond Gems.

In Jenna's memory, all the uniforms that current Gems players wear, bear her retired #7 on their left sleeve. Each year, The Diamond Gems host the Jenna DeAngelis Memorial Tournament in her honor with donations being made to The Angel Fund for ALS Research and to the Concussion Legacy Fund, a non-profit organization that Jenna has donated her brain to in an effort to further research traumatic brain injury and CTE. The Diamond Gems organization has also committed to ongoing upgrades to the Jenna DeAngelis Memorial Softball Field, in her hometown of Milford, NH where future generations of softball players will gather to practice, play, and participate in the tournaments we host in her name.

A sincere THANK YOU to all those who participate in this tournament. If you would like to make a direct personal donation to the Jenna DeAngelis Memorial Softball Field Fund, please click on the button below.
